Solar Mounting
Looking for light weight racking material to build the solar mounting system May 17, 2022

The capacity of solar Photo Voltaic Power plants are increasing day by day. The industry is witnessing intense competition in the solar field and several bidders are compromising on the quality of the PV module mounting structures. It is of paramount importance to understand the various aspects and the types of solar mounting structures.

PV mounting structures are used to support the solar PV modules. Since the PV modules are built to last for 25 years, it is very important to choose the PV module mounting structure as it has to support the PV module for 25 years.

Solar panel mounting structures are made of three types of materials. They are Hot Dip Galvanized Iron, Aluminium and Mild Steel (MS).

Hot dip galvanized iron:

Solar mounting galvanized steel rails  provide a strong structure for PV modules mounting. They secure the solar panels and hold them strongly. High quality HDG Q235, with the performance of high load-bearing, wind resistance,ensure the safety of solar panels. Our solar racking galvanized steel rails is an strong and reliable solution for ground solar mounting application, excellent in severe environments-especially coastal and agricultural.

Aluminium alloy:

Aluminium is an extremely versatile metal with a number of advantages, it is recognised for being both lightweight and flexible. It can be cast, melted, formed, machined and extruded meaning that it can be manufactured into a variety of shapes and then subsequently fabricated to suit a whole variety of uses.

Mild steel(MS):

Mild steel is a ferrous metal made from iron and carbon. It is a low-priced material with properties that are suitable for most general engineering applications. Low carbon mild steel has good magnetic properties due to its high iron content, it is therefore defined as being 'ferromagnetic'.

What are the characteristics of mild steel?

Some mild steel's physical properties are as follows:

High tensile strength.

High impact strength.

Good ductility and weldability.

A magnetic metal due to its ferrite content.

Good malleability with cold-forming possibilities.

Not suitable for heat treatment to improve properties.
